Where is Annapolis Baygrass Festival?

Annapolis Baygrass is located in Sandy Point State Park, just off Route 50.  It’s your first exit on the right if you’re coming west over the Annapolis Bay Bridge, or the last exit before you hit the Bridge if you’re headed east.

How easy is it to get to Baygrass?

It’s very easy to get to Baygrass!  Sandy Point State Park is by a major highway (not too close – it still feels like paradise).  The Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI) is less than 30 miles away, and Reagan National Airport is only 40 miles away.

BWI – Baltimore/Washington International Airport: 27 miles
Reagan National Airport: 40 miles
Baltimore: 36 miles (about 45 minutes drive)
Washington, D.C.: 37 miles (about an hour drive)
Ocean City, MD: 109 miles (about 2 hours drive)
Philadelphia: 114 miles (about 2 hours drive)
Richmond, VA: 140 miles (about 2.5.hours drive)

What transportation options are there to get to Baygrass?

Drive: We have a large parking lot, and parking is free for Baygrassers at Sandy Point State Park.  (The Park does charge a $5/person facility day use fee – this is not  Baygrass fee – it is charged by the Park year-round)

There is also a free parking shuttle to take you from the lot to the festival gates, if needed.  Depending on where you park, it may be a short walk. VIP Baygrassers are given a closer, priority space.  ADA Parking is available.

Shuttle: The Official Baygrass Shuttle runs from the festival to our Official Lodging Partners and to the Harry S Truman Park-N-Ride (2580 Riva Rd, Annapolis, MD 21401).

Ride Share: We have a dedicated Ride Share pickup/dropoff zone.  Ride Share options are plentiful in the area.

How much does it cost to park?

On-site parking is free, along with our complimentary shuttle service to/from parking lots. Sandy Point State park charges a $5/per person facility fee per day (cash will help make the gate access go faster). If you leave the park, you must re-pay to re-enter

Baygrass has negotiated special discounted rates with local hotels and the KOA Campground near Annapolis, Maryland which are all conveniently located on our Shuttle Service route to the festival. We encourage everyone to use the unique discount links to book your stay with the 2026 codes.

Is there camping available at the festival?

There is no onsite camping at the festival, however we do partner with the Washington DC/Capitol KOA.

ARRIVAL

What time do the gates open?

The festival gates open at 10 AM.  The Box Office also opens at that time.

Can I arrive early to the park?

Yes, but you will not be admitted to the festival grounds.  If you do arrive early, you will be asked to queue up in order in front of the Box Office

Where is the Box Office?

The Box Office is located at the main (and only ) entrance gate.  You can’t miss it!

TICKETING

Where can I purchase tickets to Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival?

Tickets to Baygrass can be purchased on our ticket page at baygrassfestival.com/tickets.

What type of tickets are available?

Baygrass Festival ultimately offers 2-Day GA (General Admission), 2-Day VIP Experience, Single-day GA, Single-day VIP, as well as Kids Tickets (age 6-15) in all of these categories.  (Kids 5 and under are free)

In addition, we offer Shuttle Passes.

All of these tickets may not be available at the onset of the festival announcements, as we will not sell the single-day tickets until closer to the event.

Are Payment Plans available?

Yes – our ticketing platform, Afton, partners with PayPal for payment plans. You will find details during the checkout process.

How will I receive my Baygrass tickets?

Baygrass ticket purchasers will receive an Afton order confirmation email, followed by a second Afton email with tickets attached. Please check your Junk/Spam folder if you do not see the order confirmation email.

If you do not receive the order confirmation or are experiencing technical ticketing issues, contact Afton directly: support@aftontickets.com.

If I purchased a general admission ticket, can I upgrade my ticket to VIP?

Yes, please contact tickets@baygrassfestival.com with your order info.

Are tickets available on the day of the show?

Yes, as long as there are tickets available, they can be purchased in person at the Box Office on the day of the show.  Tickets may also be available online the day of the show.

What happens if it rains? Is there a Refund Policy?

How can I earn a free ticket to Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival?

Our volunteers are an integral component of our festival success and act as our festival ambassadors, connecting with attendees and making the overall festival experience one to remember!

Volunteers can earn a FREE festival pass by working the required number of shifts – with plenty of time to still enjoy the festival!

I purchased tickets and can no longer attend. Can I get a refund?

CashorTrade is the official Face Value Ticket Exchange for Annapolis Baygrass.

RULES & REGULATIONS & SAFETY

What is permitted into the festival?

Please reference our Prohibited Items and Activities List on our General Info page.  All patrons are subject to a security check and bag search upon entering the festival

Is Marijuana allowed in the festival?

No, per Maryland law, smoking cannabis (and hemp) is prohibited in any public place. This includes outdoor spaces and indoor spaces open to the public, including parks, streets, and sidewalks.

Is smoking allowed at the festival?

In designated areas only. We encourage patrons NOT to smoke around children and families.

Where is the first aid station?

Baygrass contracts with a service provider to have EMTs on-site during all patron hours. These providers can be found at the Infor/Admin Office and are located on the map with a red cross icon

Where is Lost & Found located?

Lost & Found is located at the Info/Admin Office in the heart of the festival. Info is noted on the map.

FOOD & DRINK

Can I bring a reusable water bottle?

Absolutely! Attendees are encouraged to bring empty, refillable water bottles and use our on-site refillable water stations.

As part of our mission to reduce waste, bottled/canned water will not be sold at Annapolis Baygrass Festival.

What types of food are available for purchase?

We source a variety of food vendors, with a preference for local vendors and cuisine. Featuring Thai, Wood-fired Pizza, Oysters (roasted and raw), gourmet BBQ, and a delicious array of vegan and vegetarian options.

Can I bring in my own food?

Outside food and drinks, including water, alcohol, etc., and glass of any kind are not permitted on the festival grounds.

Free water stations are available on-site.

Patrons with food concerns, sensitivities, allergies, or dietary restrictions may bring in food. Patrons will be asked to check in at the Box Office at the Main Gate.

Will there be gluten-free and/or dairy-free options available?

We source food trucks that offer vegetarian, vegan, and dairy-free options. Patrons with food sensitivities, allergies, or dietary restrictions are allowed to bring in food. They will be asked to identify at the bag check at the Main Gate. For additional food-related questions please reach out to info@baygrassfestival.com.

Are there alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks?

Yes, we have a robust beverage program that features local craft beers, cocktails, wine and mocktails. Additionally, non-alcoholic beverages are available from our vendors.

FAMILIES

Is Annapolis Baygrass a family-friendly festival?

YES!  Baygrass is extremely family-friendly.  We have an amazing KidZone, with plenty to keep the kids busy, while the kid in you has just as much fun!

Do kids need a ticket?

Kids 5 and under attend Baygrass for FREE!  Kids aged 6-15 must purchase a reduced-rate Kids ticket.  More Info.

Is swimming allowed at the beach?

Yes, however, there is no lifeguard on duty – so swimming is at your own risk.  Make sure children or anyone who needs assistance in the water is accompanied at all times.

Are there changing rooms and showers?

Yes, a bathhouse with clean bathrooms, showers, and changing rooms is available to accommodate you and your family for the entire event.

Is the Baygrass VIP Experience worth it?

Absolutely.  The Baygrass VIP Experience is like no other.

I bought a General Admission ticket.  Can I upgrade to VIP?

Yes, depending on current availability.  Please contact tickets@baygrassfestival.com with your order info.

Are children allowed in VIP?

Absolutely.  This year, we have adjusted our Kids ticket to cover ages 6-15! (Kids 5 and under are free!)  Young Baygrassers are welcome to have a VIP Baygrass Experience.

Where do I park with a VIP Parking Pass?

VIP Parking is located in the Blue Lot, closest to the festival. VIP parking spots are first-come, first-served.  Click HERE for our parking maps.

When does VIP catering begin, and what’s for dinner?

Delicious snacks are offered all day in the VIP Catering Pavilion.

After 3:00pm, we feature our chef-prepared, daily hot meal featuring delicious seafood and non-seafood entrees (Including ½ dozen fresh-shucked oysters* daily), side dishes, dessert, and more.

Vegetarian and vegan options available.

*VIP Oyster voucher may be substituted for VIP drink voucher.

Is there an official app for the festival?

Yes!  We’ve partnered with Let’s Rally to provide an interactive festival guide, complete with schedules, maps, trassportation info, realtime updates and more!

Is there an ATM on site? What forms of payment do you take at the festival?

No, there is no ATM on-site.
Baygrass accepts Cash and Credit Cards. No checks. We ask that our vendors be prepared to take credit cards, however, it is recommended to carry some cash just in case!

Is there Wi-Fii available for public use?

No, we do not have a guest network during the event. Cellular service is reliable at the park.

Are there charging stations available?

No, there are not.  Guests with specific communication needs can request assistance at the Info/Admin Office, located in the heart of the festival. grounds.

Can I bring an EZ-Up or a tent?

EZ-ups are not allowed in the festival. Sunshades and shade structures 60” or shorter are allowed in designated areas, weather permitting, and at the discretion of festival staff.

Is there a designated safe space at Annapolis Baygrass for attendees in recovery?

Yes.  Baygrass offers a designated Sober Space. Look for the Sober Space at the northeast corner of the festival grounds.  Baygrass also proudly supports a mission of musical healing and aims to dismantle mental health stigma by providing education and resources during the festival through non-profit booths, workshops, announcements, yoga, and meet-ups.

What accommodations are available for attendees with disabilities (ADA)?

• Sandy Point Park is a flat landscape with paved paths.
• An ADA viewing area is available in the main field of the venue.
• ADA parking is available and is located near the festival entrance
• Our on-site ADA Coordinator can assist with shuttle/transportation, medication refrigeration, or other on-site support

Are service animals allowed into the festival?

Absolutely, we ask that patrons check in at the Box Office when entering the festival to get credentials for their Service Animal.
