Activities and Games

While the music at Baygrass will keep you grooving, there’s plenty more to explore when you’re ready to give your dancing feet a break.

Enjoy a game of Cornhole with your friends, or make some new ones at one of the many beach and yard games setup throughout the festival grounds. Looking for a moment of relaxation? Flow into beachside yoga, the perfect way to recharge before dancing the night away.

And at Baygrass, the world is truly your oyster—sometimes literally!

MUSICAL AND EDUCATION WORKSHOPS

Under the Baygrass Workshop Pavilion, you could learn how to shuck and eat oysters like a pro, how to improve the health of the Chesapeake Bay or get some banjo picking tips from one of the Baygrass performers.  Or participate in a Mental Health Workshop to learn about resources that may help you or a loved one.

Perhaps the best parts of the Workshop Pavilion are the intimate interactions with the festival artists.  Anyone at Baygrass 2024 who caught Sam Bush’s workshop where he told stories, took questions, cracked jokes and picked some tunes knows just how special these moments can be.

A family-friendly festival, Baygrass has plenty to keep the kids busy, while the kid in you is having just as much fun!

 With beach games, activities, crafts and workshops in the KidZone, your kids will have a blast.  Plus, did we mention there’s a beach?! (no lifeguard on duty – so make sure the little ones are accompanied at all times).  And since Baygrass is located at a pristine State Park, we have the benefit of a bathhouse with clean bathrooms, showers and changing rooms to accommodate you and your family for the entire day and night.

SANDY POINT STATE PARK

This 786-acre Maryland State Park is located along the Northwestern shore of the majestic Chesapeake Bay and 10 miles from downtown Annapolis. The park’s beaches and picnic areas are well known for their breathtaking views of the Chesapeake Bay, which is the largest estuary in the United States and is one of the most productive bodies of water in the world.

Sandy Point State Park features swimming beaches, fishing, crabbing, boating, windsurfing, hiking, areas of historical interest and wildlife viewing.

ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND
